Kiddie Kamp

Our Kiddie Kamp classes are much more than daycare. They are a structured, play-based program for children ages 2 and 3.  We provide an environment that allows children an opportunity to work and play with each other, expressing themselves through art, music, and dramatic play. We also introduce shapes, colors, letters and numbers, encourage personal growth and independence, while still being mindful to allow each child to grow at his or her own pace. Students meet twice a week (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday) from 9-11:30 am. This program is the perfect setting to help socialize younger children and prepare them for the transition into preschool. We know the demands of today’s Kindergarten programs, but even more than that, we understand children and their need to play and express themselves. Curriculum

The curriculum of Play & Learn Preschool is based on the interest and needs of the children providing developmentally appropriate practices for each age group and adapting to the needs of individual children. We embrace the philosophy that children learn best when they are actively involved in play. Our teachers facilitate play-based learning experiences that provide children with the opportunity to work and play with other children, to express themselves creatively through art, music, dramatic play and language, to communicate feelings and ideas and to develop physical skills. At Play & Learn the emphasis will always be on the process rather than the product. Our program allows the children the opportunity to interact with the materials that are meaningful to them, because they choose activities which are of interest and enjoyable to them. There is a scheduled routine to give the children a sense of direction and confidence but spontaneity to prevent boredom.
